2.5 Getting Help from the Help Menu

At this moment, you might find the large number of properties of these objects overwhelming; however, understand that they are made available to make your job as a programmer easier. After you become familiar with these properties, you might actively look for their help. Most of the time, you may wonder what features a newly encountered property provides. The answer is most likely at your fingertips. VS 2008 comes with a comprehensive online help system. For example, to find out more about the AutoSize property of the label control, do the following:

  1. Click the Help menu on the menu bar. You will see a drop-down list with many options such as Contents, Index, and Search.
  2. Select the Index option. The help (Search-Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Documentation-Microsoft Document Explore) dialog box should appear.
